ANOTHER MUSE ABOUT “CHANGE” Check out the video of this girl who brought a change of clothes with her to the subway. It’s really just a lure to hook you into reading this next segment of CHANGE. I am mildly amused by the expression “change of clothes.” Like, if I am going to spend the night at a friend’s house, I will take a change of clothes with me. It’s not technically a CHANGE of clothes, since neither the clothes I am wearing when I leave, nor the clothes I am taking with me, will actually change into something else. A “change of clothes” is really just another entire, but wholly different, outfit. Sometimes people will say that they are going to “change into something more comfortable.” If I were truly going to change into something more comfortable, I might not be satisfied with merely putting on some softer clothing. Instead, I’d consider changing myself into an extremely wealthy person who has all of the comforts and amenities available in life, who is right with God and completely at ease with no worries of any kind, and who lives in a world of peace and harmony and abundance, etc., etc.. That, I think, might be something a little more comfortable. Or maybe not. But it’d probably be fun to find out.
