I get to see Luther play on friday with two of my favorite people in the world…my old man, and F. Dees Jr. It should be a whole lotta fun. I found this video fascinating. A lot of guitar players don’t like to talk about their rigs and setups but Luther clearly has no problem with it. I guess when you’re that good, no one can emulate you anyway.
Wow! What a great performance by NMA this past Friday night in Raleigh! I had a terrific time going with Bobby, Fred, Raleigh, Thomas and David. We arrived WAY early and got front row “seats” (actually front row “stands”, as there were no seats within 100 feet or so of the stage, so we stood the entire time), with our knees literally against the stage. Luther stood a few feet away from us during the performance, and the “cool boys” I was with carried on a little discourse with the band members a couple of times. Afterwards we spoke to and hugged all the band members. Bobby and Fred got Luther’s autograph, Fred also got a guitar pick from Luther (hell, maybe even a BJ, I don’t know). All Raleigh and I got were kisses from strange, but hot, women. Oh, and ringing ears! Seriously, though, this was a great time, Luther is a sick guitar player, Cody an impressive drummer/washboarder. I appreciate you guys inviting the old man!
